Berri in response to “Al-Mustaqbal” newspaper

Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri’s media bureau issued a statement in response to the information that "al-Mustaqbal" newspaper recently published concerning Berri’s stance during the July 2006 war.

“They wanted readers to believe that Berri was supporting the United States and that he was against the position of former President Emile Lahoud in 2007 following the unconstitutional establishment of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon by a cabinet he called “an amputee”, the statement said.
