France condemns violence in Lebanon, calls for dialogue
The French Foreign Ministry condemned  the recent Tripoli clashes on Monday and called on all Lebanese officials to continue portraying a sense of responsibility in those regards.

In a statement released, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius lauded the LAF’s role describing it as exemplary adding that the military institution should be the sole bearer of weapons in the country.    

On another front Fabius described Lebanese president Michel Sleiman’s call for dialogue as wise adding that Paris encourages all political parties to heed the call.

On the Syrian issue, Fabius said that talks with Russia on Damascus should continue, adding that the conflict should be prevented from spilling into Lebanon.
