Mansour: Draft law on diplomatic appointments finalized

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said on Wednesday that the draft law related to ambassadorial appointments has been finalized and will be submitted to the Cabinet next week.

In a statement to Voice of Lebanon, Mansour expressed confidence that the diplomatic formation will be approved by ministers.

He stressed that the formation has taken into account sectarian balances as well as qualifications.
“Some of the ambassadors in decision-making capitals have maintained their posts since it is impossible to transfer them before ending their duties or reaching retirement age," Mansour said.
