Clashes erupt in Beirut

Violent clashes between Hezbollah members on the one hand and Palestinian, Salafist and Kurd gunmen on the other erupted Monday at 7 p.m. on Anan street near Bourj al-Barajneh.

The Security Forces were unable to reach Anan street due to intense fighting there.

According to Voice of Lebanon radio station, the clashes resulted from the tensions prevailing ever since the events of Bourj Abi Haydar a few months ago.

Voice of Lebanon radio station said that tens of Hezbollah members were injured in the armed clashes that lasted for one hour and thirty minutes.

The injured persons, whose identities remain unknown, were transferred to Al Rasoul Al Aazam Hospital.
