Mikati: I have defended the constitution since the get go
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Friday that calls were ongoing to settle the parliamentary dispute regarding the issue of the EDL contract workers issue. He said that he had held a meeting with Minister of Energy Gebran Bassil prior to his German flight in order to find a solution to this matter.

The PM condemned the assassination attempt which targeted MP Boutros Harb Thursday and called on all security apparatuses to make necessary measures to follow up the leads to this case
Regarding those who make accusatory remarks at the government, Mikati said: "The government will remain in business until the constitution determines its expiration, if those who make those statements do not feel shame, they can go their own way."  Mikati stressed that he has stood in defense of the constitution since his appointment as Premiere up until now.

Relations with House Speaker Nabih Berri are good, he added, stressing that the government not be used as a front line to settle scores.
