Al-Jamaa al-Islamiya calls for depoliticizing Syrian refugee case

The Lebanese cabinet’s decision to halt medical aid and humanitarian relief for the Syrian refugees drew different reactions and denunciations.

Among the denouncers was Al-Jamaa al-Islamiya that called for depoliticizing this case and giving it the necessary humanitarian dimension.

The movement’s remarks came during a conference in which the "Global Campaign to support the Syrian People” took part.

The gathering also urged the state to collect international donations to cover the expenses of the humanitarian assistance.
