Antelias blast caused by grenade not explosive device
The Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Sakr Sakr was handed the final report on the Antelias blast from explosive experts. The blast was caused by a western-made defense grenade, rather than an explosive device as the experts’ preliminary report suggested.

In a report submitted to the Military Court, Sakr said that the military judicial system is not entitled to look into the case since it does not include an act of terrorism, according to the final experts' report.

Two Lebanese died and three others were wounded in a mysterious explosion earlier this month in the Metn town of Antelias. The explosion occurred in a public parking lot in Antelias minutes after the two victims entered.
