Fatfat: Discussions on electricity depend on Bassil

Future bloc member MP Ahmad Fatfat said that the outcome of the parliamentary discussions on the electricity plan will depend on what Gebran Bassil delivers next Monday.

“The main problem is that the cabinet says one thing and the electricity project is something completely different”, Fatfat told “Sawt Lobnan” radio (93.3) adding that the quorum is not the responsibility of the opposition, but of the parliamentary majority.

Fatfat said that the cabinet is compelled to fulfill Lebanon’s commitments and fund the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), adding “if a draft law was needed, we are ready to provide it; but until this moment, I don’t think we need additional legislation”.
