Eddé to LBC: Rai must clarify remarks once and for all

National bloc leader Carlos Eddé told Nharkom Said TV show that he was caught off-guard by Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai’s remarks since they contradict the stance taken in his inauguration speech.

“Rai should clarify his remarks regarding Hezbollah’s weapons, the state’s sovereignty and the Syrian crisis to settle the issue once and for all”, Eddé added.

Eddé stressed that Hezbollah leadership is no longer using its weapons to protect Lebanon; rather they serve to keep a tight grip on the domestic political situation.
