MP Samy Gemayel said Monday that “they expected more radical actions and bold measures, given the seriousness of the situation.
“There are good headlines but we have been repeating the same symphony for four years and nothing is being implemented,” he said after the economic meeting held in Baabda.
He also stressed that important steps are being tackled, including the control of the illegal border crossings through a decisive decision to send army units to close them completely, as well as cancelling all fake contracts and fake hiring that took place in 2017.
“We support forming a government of experts that can manage the current situation and implement the reforms and proposals,” he added, stating that they rejected any tax raise.
