Israel violates Lebanese sovereignty, conducts large-scale military maneuvers

Israeli forces proceeded to dig roads and pathways along the barb-wire border fence on the northern entrance of the occupied Chebaa farms Friday morning, specifically south of the Seddaneh hill facing the Naqqar pond.

An excavator protected by several military vehicles and Merkava tanks conducted the ground work as Israeli soldiers remained on high alert.

The UNIFIL and the LAF remain vigilant whilst monitoring those operations.

In a related event, massive Israeli maneuvers took place off the town of Adaisseh one day after the extension of the UN Security Council mission - UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon until August 31, 2013.

Israeli forces conducted a large-scale military maneuver off South Adaisseh, including drills to face patrol assaults near the border.

Foot soldiers fired smoke bombs followed by military reinforcements in conjunction with the flight of warplanes.
