Future Bloc: government’s appeasement policy attracts grave danger
Following the weekly meeting of the Future Bloc, MP Khaled Daher criticized the government’s policy of appeasement saying that it “attracts grave danger unto Lebanon in light of domestic and regional developments”.

In a press conference on Tuesday Daher demanded that the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon be deemed as a persona non-grata adding that a complaint to the Arab League should be followed setting Syrian Lebanese Supreme Council to a freeze.

“Syrian border violations should be met by the deployment of UNIFIL troops to help Lebanon control the border” Daher added.

The bloc saw that the current situation proves the state’s retreat, which is manifesting in the discovery of arms caches in Tripoli by groups funded by Hezbollah, Daher said.

On the issue of Wissam Alaa el-Dinne, the bloc expressed awe at the pace of his release adding that "to release the assailant who set fire to a television station without taking legal steps is preposterous and was only achievable via Hezbollah’s pressure".

"The continuation of lawlessness in areas controlled by Hezbollah demonstrated through the detention of Syrian nationals and a Turkish citizen shows how weak state authority is," Daher continued.

“Hezbollah is responsible for the protection of ‘familial military wings’ that live under its governance” Daher concluded.
