Video shows cub wandering around Arsal outskirts
Scientific journalist Mostapha Raad published on Monday on its Facebook page a video showing a cub (a baby bear) in the outskirts of the border town of Arsal.

Raad said that the cub is from the Syrian brown bear species, adding that a similar one appeared in 2017 at the same place.

Raad also noted that it is native to Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Turkey but the “barbaric hunting” led to its extinction in Lebanon.
