Introduction to the evening news 15-09-2012

"Do not emigrate; instead, create the future of your own country." That's how Pope Benedict XVI addressed the youth in Bkerke this evening.                   

The Pope mentioned from the Baabda Palace today that living in other countries isn't as good as it seems where economic and financial logic imposes its injustice.             

The emigration of Christians from the Middle East was the title of the Pope's second day in Lebanon; an emigration that the Apostolic Exhortation considered as the "tragic choice".To avoid such a choice, the Pope called on Lebanon to be exemplary now more than ever in portraying living in the light of cultural, social, and religious differences.                

The Pope saluted the courage of the Syrian youth, and expressed sorrow for their pain. Pain that prompted the UN envoy Akhdar Ibrahimi to meet the Syrian President, without garnering any results except an invitation by Assad to have a serious dialogue based on the wishes of the Syrian people.           

Ibrahimi declared that the Syrian crisis is escalating and has now become a threat to the Syrian people, the region, and the whole world.            

Meanwhile, repercussions from the movie "Innocence of Muslims" continue.                              

Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti, the highest religious authority denounced the violence that accompanied the protests, while al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula urged Muslims to kill more American diplomats.             

As for the US, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called the people of the Arab Spring not to replace the tyranny of a dictator with a tyranny of the mob. The beginning from Bkerke.
