Rai kicks off his historical visit to Tyre

From ancient Tyre Serail square, Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai called on everyone to build the country and to strengthen the social life in line with the principles of partnership and love.

Rai kick started his historical visit to Tyre on Saturday, by saying: “Imam Moussa Sadr is alive in our memory and hearts. God made this region a shield to protect Lebanon from evil doers.”

The mayor of Tyre, Hasan Dbouk, presented Rai with the key to the city. Afterwards, Rai headed to the Sayedat Al Bihar (the Lady of the Sea) in Tyre where crowds of faithful welcomed him.
