Speaker Nabih Berri stressed on Monday that the investigation into the Beirut blast takes its course without any delay. 
"Let the Lebanese judiciary seek the help of those it wants on condition of preserving Lebanon's sovereignty and that in order to reach the truth and punish the criminals," he added.
Berri also noted that the most dangerous thing unveiled by the port disaster is the collapse of the complete political and economic system, adding that changes must be made to “this sectarian system, as it is an incurable disease.” 
He also called for the swift formation of a new government that “has a specific reform program with a clear vision to rebuild what is destroyed and to initiate reforms."
Berri concluded by calling on political parties to reach an agreement on a number of issues, mainly a civil state, the establishment of a Senate and the independence of the judiciary.
