Mahfoud: funding sources can be found by halting overspending in state facilities

Head of the Private Schools Teachers Association Nehme Mahfoud said on Friday that funding sources can be provided by halting overspending in all state facilities.

Mahfoud stressed the importance of bringing corruption to an end, and imposing pressure on the government to release its clutch on maritime properties and real estates.

After a meeting held by a delegation from the Trade Union Coordinating Body and Amine Gemayel, Mahfoud said: “we are maintaining silence towards positions claiming that we are taking the country towards a breakdown”.

“If the government were able to garner sufficient funding pertaining to the ranks and salaries scale, it would have been able to fund more than one series and provide a better future for the country”, he concluded.
