Sleiman receives the Pope's thank you letter

In his apostolic thank you letter to Lebanese President Michel Sleiman, Pope Benedict XVI expressed his gratitude for the sweet reminiscences of the country and its generous hospitable people.

The Pope who reiterated that he was touched by his recent visit added that he would continue to pray from the bottom of his heart for the Lebanese people.

He also thanked the president for giving him the opportunity of meeting various Muslim leaders, the Maronite youth at Bkerki and the Oriental Christian Churches' officials.

The Pope's message concluded on a hopeful note where all religious-sectarian constituents of the Lebanese society would continue to coexist peacefully with the blessing of Divine Grace.
