Ashrafieh is still reeling under the shock

Beirut’s city of Ashrafieh is still reeling under the shock of the explosion which stroke in its residential street on Friday, causing the death of Information Branch Brigadier General Wissam al-Hassan and his companion and a number of civilians, while 110 others were injured.

Ashrafieh residents are very angry and are protesting the security situation in their beloved city which is supposed to be one of the safest places in Lebanon.

In this context, the security apparatuses are forbidding the civilians from entering the street in which the explosion took place to facilitate the criminal investigations.

The security apparatuses also took strict security measures in the area.
