Siniora to LBCI: President Aoun is violating constitution, harnessing judiciary
Former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora accused on Tuesday President Michel Aoun of “violating the constitution and harnessing Lebanon’s judiciary.”

Siniora’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show whereby he stressed that some sides are trying to turn Lebanon’s democratic system into a presidential regime.

“Aoun has been waging a war against the Taef accord since he took office, and war against the Taef accord means a war against all Lebanese people,” he stressed.

Siniora called on President Aoun to be “a true president of the republic with a democratic parliamentary system and not a presidential system, and to exercise his powers and correct reformist orientations.”

On another note, the former premier stressed the need of resorting to an International or Arab investigation committee to probe the Beirut blast.
