Mouawad to LBCI: the govt is responsible for the assassination, impeding investigations

The head of the Independence Movement Michel Mouawad told LBCI via Nharkom Said on Thursday that the current cabinet was formed to facilitate Hezbollah's mission in "controlling Lebanon".

Mouawad held the Lebanese government accountable for the assassination of late Gen. Wissam Hassan and said it was hindering the investigations by rejecting the request to submit the telecommunications data.

Mouawad stressed that the current cabinet politically covers all those who are involved in the assassinations that took place during the past few years.

Commenting on FPM leader Michel Aoun's assassination attempt, Mouawad said that "the Justice Minister is promoting it as an attempt to murder Aoun but in fact it is a simple attack on his convoy."
