The Lebanese Armed Forces Command announced on Tuesday that a tripartite meeting was held in the region of Ras Naqoura headed by UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander Major General Stefano Del Col and in the presence of a delegation of Lebanese army’s officers chaired by the Lebanese government coordinator Brigadier General Hasib Abdo amid tight Coronavirus preventive measures.
The command then issued a statement in which it said that the meeting tackled the latest incidents on the ground along the Blue Line such as the abduction of a Lebanese shepherd, the abduction attempt of another shepherd and the stealing of cows.
According to the statement, the Lebanese side condemned the continuous violations of the Lebanese sea, land and air sovereignty and the intensive flying of the Israeli aircrafts over the Lebanese territories,
The Lebanese side also reiterated commitment to UN resolution No. 1701.
The statement also asserted the need for the Israeli enemy to withdraw from all occupied territories, including: the area adjacent to the north of the Blue Line, the Shebaa Farms and the Kfarshouba hills, the northern part in the Ghajar area, and the occupied point B1, reiterating the necessity of including the occupied B1 point in the upcoming UN reports and decisions, similar to the rest of the aforementioned occupied territories.
