Brax to LBCI: Solution is in state hands while authorities are standing idly by

Member of the Syndicate of Petrol Station Owners in Lebanon George Brax said on Saturday that there are two ships in the sea that were not given credit lines, stressing that the Central Bank is supposed to solve the fuel crisis and open credit lines.

Brax’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he stressed that the solution is in the hands of the authorities which are standing idly by.

“If measures are not taken, the situation will remain as it is,” he added.

Brax concluded by stressing that the state must provide US dollars if it wants to continue fuel subsidies or must choose to lift subsides and provide ration cards for citizens.
