Introduction to the evening news 13-11-2012
First the meat, now the meds.

We all remember the Natour brothers, the two merchants who played the leading role in the rotten meat series which preoccupied the Lebanese for a while, only to get lost in investigation. The case was gradually hidden to save the face of the remnants of tourism.

As for the file of counterfeit medications, it was submitted to the State Prosecutor on Monday, after the emergence of conflicting reports on whether the Ministry of Health referred the case to the Judiciary last month or not. In any case, Judge Madi issued investigative warrants against Abdel Latif Fneiskh, brother of Minister Mohammad Fneish and Fouad Wehbi, accused of forging documents and signatures in the file of counterfeit medications.

Nonetheless, no measure was taken against the suspected medication depots, which means that they could have been disbursed anywhere. Even worse, the delegates of the companies which own these depots are collecting the counterfeit drugs from pharmacies, which proves that even after this huge scandal, nothing proves that pharmacies and hospitals are counterfeit free.
