Hankash to LBCI: Upcoming elections must be done under International supervision

Resigned lawmaker Elias Hankash said on Wednesday that the new government will only act as its predecessors, adding that the country needs to restore trust with the International community which is the only one capable of saving Lebanon.

Hankash’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show whereby he called on those who emigrated from Lebanon not to abandon the country.

“They are fighting over the Interior ministerial portfolio because of the upcoming elections,” he stressed.

He concluded by noting that the next parliamentary polls must be done under an International supervision.
