Mikati's press office: PM-designate confirms that he will continue his quest to form a government according to well-known principles

Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati’s press office issued a statement this afternoon, in which it indicated that “PM-designate Najib Mikati values the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun for the content of the statement he issued and his affirmation of pursuing cooperation to form a government that the Lebanese are satisfied with and that meets the support of the international community.”

“The PM-designate, while appreciating His Excellency’s positive position, confirms that he will continue his endeavor to form a government according to the well-known principles, and he is not about to enter into any debate or discussion through the media, hoping that everyone would associate the announced positives with practical steps to facilitate his mission in forming the government as soon as possible,” the statement underscored.
