EU approves framework of sanctions on those hindering political process in Lebanon

The European Union said to al-Hadath: “Sanctions are means that we use when all else fails, and we urge Lebanese officials to take responsibility for their actions.”

The EU stated that it had approved a framework to impose sanctions on those hindering the political process in Lebanon, revealing that the foreign ministers of the union are meeting on Monday, and the Lebanese file may be on the agenda.

Referring to the events of Thursday, the EU told al-Hadath that what happened was sad, considering that the investigation should take place without interference, and emphasizing that the Lebanese people deserve to know the truth about the Beirut Blast and as well as a better life.
