The head of Hezbollah's Executive Council Sayyed Hashem Safieddine said on Friday that “what Lebanese Army did not expect in Tayouneh clashes was a party deciding to kill,” stressing that “they will not be dragged into civil war.”
 
“What happened yesterday was one of the episodes run by the United States and financed by some Arab states,” he added.
 
“It seems that Americans rushed the Lebanese Forces party to wage civil war, but we will not let the blood of our martyrs be in vain,” Safieddine mentioned.
 
He also said that “the security and judicial services must bear the responsibility and bring criminals to justice,” stressing that “everyone should understand that there is a party in Lebanon working in the interest of Americans and Arab parties and wants to drag the country to civil war.”
