Introduction to the evening news 27-11-2012

Lebanese days at the Vatican are over and politicians returned to the country amid a syndical-political turmoil and a multidimensional deadlock. All signs show that the dialogue table due to be held on Thursday afternoon will not take place due to the boycott of March 14 leaders. Furthermore, parliamentary work at the Nejmeh Square is quasi-disrupted due to March 14 MPs’ decision to boycott all sessions. However this boycott vanished at the gates of Ain El Tineh as March 14 MPs boycotted House Speaker Berri at the Nejmeh Square but attended his lunch banquet in Ain El Tineh.      

As for the most dangerous deadlock, it is of a syndical nature: in fact, the Syndicate Coordination Committee is proceeding with its escalatory steps; it held a strike today and will be holding one tomorrow at a time when the government is incapable of passing the ranks and salaries series in the wait of funding sources.           

Meanwhile, March 14 took a bold step towards Gaza by sending a delegation to the Strip following the 8-day war.      

In Syria, the opposition shot down a helicopter using a surface-to-air missile. This was the first time the opposition used this type of weapons.        

As for Egypt, the confrontation is still ongoing between President Morsi’s determination to boost his prerogatives and his opponents.
