Iraq receives from Lebanon 337 artifacts of different eras-[PHOTOS]
Iraq received on Sunday 337 antiquities in an official ceremony held at the Lebanese National Museum, in the presence of Ambassador Haider Shia al-Barrak and the Diwani Order No. 1 of 2022 formed in the Republic of Iraq for this purpose, in addition to Lebanon’s Minister of Culture Mohammad Mortada and member of the Board of Directors of Nabu Museum Jawad Adra.
 
These artifacts date back to different periods of the Mesopotamian civilization.
 
Mortada pointed out that “If we consider the security, political, and economic vibrations that our countries are experiencing, we will notice that there are similarities between the numerous moving events, whether in terms of causes or results.”
 
“The same fate is between Lebanon and Iraq,” he said.
 
For his part, the Iraqi Ambassador mentioned “the government and people's sincere thanks to Lebanon, PM Najib Mikati as well as Culture Minister Mortada for the permanent and continuous cooperation as things reached their happy conclusion.”
