Sleiman follows up the situation in Tripoli

President Michel Sleiman followed up on Tuesday with the concerned officials the latest developments in the city of Tripoli. He also received reports announcing that calm has returned to the areas that have been witnessing tension during the last couple of days, stressing that the LAF and the security forces continue to apply the security plan they have launched.

In this context, Sleiman held talks with MP Mohammad Kabbara about the necessity of the cooperation of all parties in the city with the LAF and the security forces to help them conduct successfully the security plan and help return calmness to the area.

Separately, Sleiman met with Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui who informed the president about the ministry's program to improve the sector's services. The two tackled the SMS data issue as well.
