Fayyad meets the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon
Caretaker Minister of Energy Walid Fayyad received on Saturday Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani, in the presence of officials from the Iranian embassy, in addition to the Lebanese delegation assigned to visit Iran soon.
 
They discussed the Iranian gift related to supplying Lebanon with oil derivatives for the necessity of operating electricity production plants in Lebanon and the objectives of the delegation's visit and the related details.
 
He also pointed out that this initiative is gaining strategic importance because it will provide a starting point for the implementation of the electricity plan developed by the ministry and obtained the approval of the Council of Ministers.
 
In turn, the Iranian ambassador indicated that his country is ready to help Lebanon not only in terms of securing oil, but also in everything related to the energy sector.
 
He stressed that this donation will make its way to serve all the Lebanese people, hoping that it will mark the beginning of cooperation in all fields.
