Mikati meets Hochstein at Grand Serail

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Thursday with US mediator Amos Hochstein at the Grand Serail, in the presence of Deputy Speaker of Parliament Elias Bou Saab, Director General of Lebanese General Security Major General Abbas Ibrahim, US Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea, advisers to Mikati former Minister Nicolas Nahas, Ambassador Boutros Aasaker, and the US delegation accompanying Hochstein.

During the meeting, Mikati thanked Hochstein for the efforts he made to reach the demarcation agreement.

What has been accomplished, in Mikati's words, "we hope will be a vital step on the road to benefiting from Lebanon's richness of gas and oil, in a way that contributes to overcoming the financial and economic challenges that Lebanon is going through."
