LAF chief Aoun visits Qatar, holds series of meetings

Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Major General Joseph Aoun visited Qatar on Saturday and was received by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.

Aoun thanked the Qatari Foreign Minister for the repeated initiatives taken by Qatar to assist the Lebanese army during this stage.

He also discussed with the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel al-Nabit, the cooperation between the two countries' armies and ways of continuing Qatari support for the Lebanese army to help it overcome the current difficulties.

Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, praised the army's performance in preserving Lebanon's stability and safeguarding its civil peace, despite the challenges posed by the current crisis in the country.
