Paris calls on Lebanese leaders to facilitate “quick election” of new president
French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna called on Tuesday on Lebanese political leaders to assume their responsibilities and work on holding quick presidential elections after former President Michel Aoun's term ended two months ago.

The French Minister expressed her concerns at a press conference after a regional summit held in the Jordanian town of Suwayma on the shores of the Dead Sea (50 km west of Oman).

She called on Lebanese leaders to fulfill their responsibilities in facilitating quick presidential elections in Lebanon and forming a fully empowered government capable of implementing the reforms Lebanon desperately needs.
