EDL contract workers promise escalatory measures

The EDL contract workers went back on Friday to the company’s main hall, but this time to mourn their co-worker Mohammad Chahine who recently died as he was fixing some electrical malfunctions in the Hermel region.

Contract workers said that this day is a “day of anger” not only because Mohammad Chanine died, but also to get around the agreement which was expected to give contract workers full time employment at the EDL and to protest holding exams on Tuesday to employ 3rd rank employees without giving the priority to contract workers.

The new date contract workers set is on Monday; either the exams would be postponed, or they promise taking escalatory measures.
