Mansour meets with Iranian and Syrian Ambassadors

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour met on Thursday with the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi at the Foreign Ministry, where they discussed the regional situation, mainly the Syrian file.

Roknabadi declared that there are no fears or concerns over Lebanon from the repercussions of the Syrian events.

On the other hand, Mansour also met with the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim Ali who stressed that cooperation is ongoing with the Lebanese authorities to reach common grounds on how to face the issue of the Syrian refugees, calling on ending the incitements and sending arms from Lebanon to Syria.

Earlier, Mansour confirmed on Thursday that there were no Lebanese nationals among the hostages detained in Algeria.

"After having contacted the Lebanese Ambassador to Algeria we made sure that there are no Lebanese citizens among them," he said.

He also made clear that he had been maintaining close contacts with the Lebanese businessmen residing in the Capital of Algeria and continuously checking on their well being.
