Lebanon affirms commitment to international resolutions in joint meeting with UNIFIL

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants announced that the first meeting of the joint working team between Lebanese authorities and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was held at the Grand Serail. 

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Prime Minister's office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, the Lebanese Army Command, and UNIFIL. 

The meeting aimed to discuss the best ways to implement UNIFIL's mandate in Lebanon and address field challenges.  

Both parties agreed to hold regular meetings to strengthen the constructive and sustainable partnership between them and maintain stability in southern Lebanon and the region. 

Lebanon emphasized its respect for and commitment to implementing all international resolutions the United Nations issued. It called on all relevant parties to follow suit in this regard.
