Improvised Explosive Device found in Tripoli’s Abi Samra

An LAF patrol found a metal can including a chemical substance used for explosive devices, bolts, two electric detonators and a slow fuse in Tripoli's Abi Samra area on Friday morning.

Accordingly, the LAF cut off the road linking el-Kobba to Abi Samra and cordoned off the area. Investigations were launched under the supervision of the Judiciary to reveal the perpetrators.

The hazardous materials were not yet combined in such a way that would lead to combustibility.
