Lebanon's Union Coordination Committee announces open-ended strike
            
Lebanon’s UnionLebanon’s Union Coordination Committee announced an open-ended strike effective as of February 19th in conjunction with the closure of both public, private educational institutions, ministries and public administrations.                

The strike will be marked with sit-ins that are to be held in the central bank street, through the commercial market all the way to the Grand Serail.          

The UCC warned that it would boycott the elections and official exams should the government fail to address its demands.
