St. Catherine graves in Akkar vandalized

The graves of St. Catherine in the town of Nafisa in Akkar were vandalized and tampered with, and the security forces started their investigations into the incident, the NNA reported Tuesday.        

The Nafisa municipality which is located around 100 meters away from the St. Catherine graves was also attacked; assailants broke the doors’ locks and tempered with contents and official documents in the offices checked up on by mayor Zaki al-Asmar. He hoped that security forces and forensic evidence bodies will lift fingerprints and pursue investigations to reveal the perpetrators.
