Sleiman discusses pending issues with his visitors

President Sleiman met with General Jean Kahwaji, Minister of works Ghazi Aridi and former minister of Interior Ziad Baroud and discussed issues ranging from the Syrian breaches in the North to a new electoral law for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The President Michel Sleiman met with the commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces Jean Kahwaji after the later visited the United States to discuss military aid and support to the LAF. General Kahwaji told Sleiman about the current security conditions in the country and discussed the constant breaches of the Syrian army in the North as well as the steps taken to prevent further breaches.

On the other hand, President Sleiman met with the Minister of Works Ghazi Aridi to discuss the current political situation in the region.

During his meeting with former Minister of Interior Ziad Baroud President Sleiman raised the issue of the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2013 and the need for a new electoral law.
