Ambassador Ali: Assad and Sleiman dialogue is ongoing

The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali said that dialogue is ongoing between Lebanese President Michel Sleiman and the Syrian President Bashar Assad. “This is expected to benefit both countries and the whole region’s security”.

Following his meeting with Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun, Ali said that Syria is serious about the reform campaign led by President Assad, adding “All those who are undermining Syria’s security have been arrested”.

“Dialogue is ongoing between all the components of the Syrian society”, he said.

Ali reiterated Syria’s commitment to sovereignty, to embracing the resistance and refusing dependency on foreign countries.
