Aoun: Resistance and reforms are two concepts glued at the tip

Before the second legislative closed session for the Change and Reform bloc in St. Elias monastery in Baabda, MP Aoun said that the government is not a one-sided cabinet, adding that it gathers a number of political powers with different priorities.

“Resistance and reforms go hand in hand and are two complementary concepts. If the society is corrupt it cannot survive, even with the resistance’s protection, and in the absence of the resistance anyone can rule the country”, Aoun said.

Aoun added that all indicators point at a downward economic spiral since Lebanon depends on a yield economy that is turning the country into a consumer-based economy.

Aoun stressed that this year’s budget did not abide by last year’s instructions to control the budget.
