Protests to denounce the disappearance of Sheikh Maarabouni

It hasn't been yet revealed how Sheikh Arfan Maarabouni, who supports the Syrian revolution, disappeared from Lebanon.   Some Sheikhs are saying that he was kidnapped in Lebanon and was later transferred into Syria.

This as, official sources are saying that Sheikh Maarabouni went to Syria via an illegal crossing in an attempt to release his arrested father-in-law who is being held in Syria's Yarmouk camp adding that he was held by members of the regime forces.

In this context, a demonstration was held on Friday in front the Jlala Mosque in the Bekaa to denounce the disappearance of the Sheikh.

Demonstrators called on the Lebanese state and security apparatuses to exert efforts in order to release him with some of them even turning rowdy as to attack the Al-Jadeed TV reporter, Hassan Mohammad Jarrah, breaking his camera.
