Berri meets French Ambassador, discusses recent developments

Speaker Nabih Berri met on Tuesday at his residence in Ain el-Tineh with Patrice Paoli, the French Ambassador to Lebanon and discussed with him recent developments in Lebanon and the region.

Following the meeting, Ambassador Paoli said that he discussed with Berri the file of the Syrian refugees hoping that the International Community would help Lebanon and other neighboring countries in accommodating displaced Syrians.

Paoli said that he discussed with Berri the electoral file adding that France will not interfere in it since it is an internal issue and the Lebanese themselves have to find a solution for this issue.

Among the visitors was also Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour who discussed with Berri the general situation and the electoral law.

Berri also met with the General Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi.
