Taiwan's Gold Apollo says Hezbollah pagers made by Hungary partner BAC Consulting KFT

Taiwanese company Gold Apollo said Wednesday that the pager model allegedly used by Hezbollah members, which simultaneously exploded and killed at least nine people, was manufactured by its Hungarian partner.

Gold Apollo has established a "long-term partnership" with Budapest-based BAC Consulting KFT. The model mentioned in media reports "is produced and sold by BAC," the company said in a statement. This follows a New York Times report linking its pagers to the explosions.
