UN’s Plumbly calls for maintaining calm and stability in Lebanon

The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly stressed Tuesday on the importance of cooperating with official institutions in order to maintain calm, stability, and the respect for the self-dissociation policy in Lebanon.

Following a meeting with caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail, Plumbly said that the UN is proceeding with its support in order to hold the upcoming parliamentary elections on due time.

On another note, outgoing PM Mikati met with caretaker justice minister Shakib Qortbawi.
