Independent Christian MPs : Extending the parliament's mandate is unacceptable
               
Independent Christian figures and MPs held a meeting on Thursday at MP Boutros Harb's office, during which they reiterated their support to Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam in the formation of the new government.               

The independent Christian figures and MPs slammed the extension of the parliament's mandate, urging the holding of the upcoming parliamentary elections "without an delay."                 

The participants in the meeting called for the drafting of a new electoral law and respecting the legal delay passed by the parliament on Wednesday.
