President Sleiman signs draft law suspending electoral deadlines

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman signed on Friday the draft law suspending electoral deadlines pertaining to the 1960 electoral law.

Earlier, President Sleiman said that officials should reconsider the issue of the majoritarian democracy as well as the participation of all factions in the management of political and public affairs.

On another note, President Sleiman met with the head of the General Security Major General Abbas Ibrahim who briefed him on measures taken to control the movements at the Lebanese borders as well as the file of the Lebanese detainees in Syria's Aazaz.

Sleiman also met with the Director of the Lebanese State Security Brigadier General Georges Karaa along with the Chief of the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council Nasri Khoury.
